The 2009 flu pandemic is a global outbreak of a new strain of influenza A virus subtype H1N1 2009, that was first identified in April 2009. Until October 17, worldwide there had been more than 414 000 laboratory confirmed cases of pandemic influenza H1N1 2009 and nearly 5 000 deaths according to the recent WHO reports.
As an international journal, APJTM mainly publishes researches on tropical medicine, infectious diseases and public health. The journal concerns about the current flu pandemic deeply, and all studies on treatment and management for this alarming global emergence are our focuses.
